Damien Hirst taxidermy for charity

Parisian house of taxidermy and natural sciences, Deyrolle, has long been an inspiration to artists from Salvador Dali to Mark Dion. The latest art collection comes from artist Damien Hirst and will be presented and auctioned off for charity by online auction house paddle8.com. The collection, Signification (Hope, Immortality and Death in Paris, Now and Then) has been donated by the artist to raise money for two charities: Victim, a charity founded by Hirst himself, as well as Deyrolle’s natural conservation efforts, and their support of natural science educational programs. The legendary house of taxidermy and Paddle8 plan to continue their partnership beyond this exhibit, which marks the first, to benefit more charitable programs in future.

The auction will run from October 14 – October 28. For more information, visit paddle8.com.
