In Northern Italy where the Trompia Valley connects to the Sabbia Valley, the steep, mountainous terrain offers some great perches high above the valley. This angular, three-storey dwelling by Camillo Botticini Architect has staked one of the best of them. The design of this home has been oriented to take full advantage of its natural surrounding elements, with black steel steps leading up to the front, a courtyard accented by a single maple tree in the rear and south-facing windows taking in the view.
