This 19-Year-Old English Wunderkind Just Scored the EPL’s Goal of the Season

It’s good to be Dele Alli. Just 19 years old, the electrifying Tottenham midfielder is in the midst of a dream first season in the Premier League — coming into today’s match against Crystal Palace, he’d scored five league goals, helped lead Spurs into a solid top-four position, and hit an absolute cracker in his England debut against France.

Now, he’s added to that tally with yet another incendiary wonder strike. In the 84th minute, with the score tied 1-1, Alli got the ball at the top of the box, took one touch for control, another to juggle it over his head, and then spun past a defender to send it rocketing into the back of the net.

It really, truly does not get any better than that. England boss Roy Hodgson was watching from the stands, and the uncontainable glee spread across his face after that goal said it all: this kid is the real deal, and we’re all blessed to be able to watch him play football. Take a bow, son, take a bow.
