Conan Gaming With NFL Stars Is Our New Favourite Super Bowl Tradition

Last year, a few days before their teams faced off in Super Bowl XLIX (pour some out for the Roman numerals), the Seattle Seahawks’ Marshawn Lynch and the New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski got in a room with Conan O’Brien and played a few rounds of Mortal Kombat X on PS4. It was brilliant, irreverent, endlessly rewatchable television —  a perfect showcase for Gronk’s lovable goofiness and Beast Mode’s understated eccentricities.

Well, Conan’s gone and done it again. This time around, he culled together Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Panthers cornerback Josh Norman — plus a special cameo from Lynch — and had ’em battle it out with a few rounds of Doom:

And, just like the inaugural edition, the results were impeccably awesome: wine was drunk, fur hats were donned, Miller revealed his plans to dominate the chicken farm market, Norman showed off his incredible improv skills and Lynch rolled through to take the thing to an entirely different level.

You’re a king, Conan. Never stop making these. They’re the most essential Super Bowl tradition since the invention of the hot wing, and we can’t wait to share ’em with our sons year after year after year.
