The First Trailer For Matt Damon’s New Bourne Movie Is Finally Here
My god, that’s Jason Bourne!” Yes, nameless back-room CIA suit, it sure is. Just after the first quarter of Super Bowl 50, Universal premiered this 30-second teaser of Jason Bourne, Matt Damon’s much-anticipated return to everyone’s favourite amnesiac assassin-spy franchise:
It’s an all-too-brief glimpse, sure, but there’s already plenty to get excited about here: Bourne apparently spent all his off time taking bare-knuckle boxing lessons from Mickey the Pikey, director Paul Greengrass’s shaky-cam skills appear to have only gotten better with age, and the craggy edifice that is Tommy Lee Jones has joined the cast to help assuage our collective disappointment that Julia Stiles is back as Bourne’s wooden aide Nicky Parsons.
We’re maybe the teensiest bit sad to see our main man Jeremy Renner have yet another major action franchise taken from him, but, come on, Damon is Bourne again. This is going to be straight fire. Jason Bourne hits theaters July 29th.
