The Leafs Just Traded Dion Phaneuf to the Sens in a Nine-Player Deal
The Dion Phaneuf era is officially over in Toronto. In a blockbuster deal, the Maple Leafs sent their oft-derided captain — along with forwards Matt Frattin, Casey Bailey, Ryan Rupert and defence prospect Cody Donaghey — to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for defenceman Jared Cowen, forwards Colin Greening, Milan Michalek and Tobias Lindberg, and a second-round pick in 2017.
