This Australian Beach House Is Worth the 20-Hour Flight
What wouldn’t you give to be in Australia right now? I’ve been stomping around in my slushed-up wellingtons for the past couple days, and seeing that the weather is a high of 30˚C in Victoria — where this luxurious beach house by OLA Studio is located — makes me want to jump into the Pacific and swim over. The exclusive dwelling is perched in a quiet pocket of the Mornington Peninsular region. Upon first approach, it looks robust — aptly so — in order to withstand the weather challenges of its coastal environment.
The façade is covered with timber shutters that open and close to protect glass windows when needed, making this a functional home all year round. When opened, the shutters can be manipulated to frame the desired view and various levels of natural light.
