Rimowa’s Latest Suitcases Will Get You to Your Destination Faster

In a perfect world, we wouldn’t need to arrive at the airport two hours before our flights — but thanks to interminable waits at check-in, customs and security, that is not the world we live in.

Rimowa, maker of sturdy German hard-sided luggage, is taking at least one of those delays out of the equation with its newest innovation, the Electronic Tag.

Thanks to a display screen integrated in the side of the case, you can save time in the check-in line by sending your baggage tag directly to your luggage via your smartphone. Currently in use on Lufthansa, with smart-baggage drops at several German airports, Rimowa will continue a worldwide rollout later this year.
