The University of Toronto shuttered its downtown campus and two hospitals went into lockdown Monday as police investigated reports of a masked man with a gun.

“But after more than six hours of evacuations and tactical sweeps through campus buildings, police ended the investigation without finding a masked man or a gun.”

2. Police release names of Orlando shooting victims

“Anguished relatives still await word of the fate of their loved ones after the deadly rampage early Sunday at a club in Orlando, but authorities have begun to release the names of some of the 49 people killed.”

3. Microsoft to buy LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in its largest deal

The deal could help keep services like Outlook email relevant enough that customers won’t want to leave it for rivals such as Google’s Gmail, analysts said.”

“As Lin-Manuel Miranda prepares to exit his blockbuster, Tony-sweeping Broadway play Hamilton, one has to wonder who will replace him as the show’s titular lead.
