A Former NASA Engineer Just Built the World’s Largest Nerf Gun

Give a man a Nerf gun and he plays for a day. Teach a man engineering at NASA and he’ll build a Nerf gun big enough to knock down the idiot playing with a regular-sized one.

Former NASA engineer, inventor and YouTube personality Mark Rober put his innumerable skills to their best possible use by designing and building an enormous 4-foot-tall version of the Nerf N-Strike Maverick. The person-sized “toy” weapon shoots equally-large foam darts (er, pool noodles with toilet plunger heads) at approximately 40 MPH using a 3,000 PSI air tank.

We can’t think of a single scenario where this baby wouldn’t come in handy. Annoyed by a coworker? Giant Nerf gun. Kids won’t go to sleep? Giant Nerf gun. Neighbour won’t pick up after his dog? Giant Nerf gun. What could possibly go wrong?
