James Corden Made a Soap Opera Using Kanye Lyrics as Dialogue, and It’s Kind of Perfect

Over the past year or so, Kanye West’s life has begun to resemble a soap opera. His wife was robbed of her million-dollar jewels in Paris, he feuded with a superstar songstress and deployed secret videotapes to win, and he had a breakdown in the middle of a concert and wound up cancelling a high-profile tour. Oh, and who could forget that time he took a meeting with his country’s foremost villain, causing the people who love(d) him (us) to wail inconsolably in a corner?

Well, the timing couldn’t be any more perfect, then, for James Corden and his guests to perform a soap opera using nothing but lyrics taken from Yeezy’s discography. (And one accidental Drake line.)

Starring Jessica Biel, Bryan Cranston and Giovanni Ribisi, the scene centres on a classic soap opera trope: an illicit wedding where more than one man might be in love with the bride. The characters may have dubious morals, but dammit if they don’t spit dope rhymes.
