Relive Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell Doing ‘Lazy Sunday’ On Jimmy Fallon

First aired on Saturday Night Live in 2005, “Lazy Sunday” is one of the original viral videos. And while its contemporaries have enjoyed a long, often copied, life online, “Lazy Sunday” has been victim to some rather grabby NBC copyright claims. The video was taken down in the late 2000s – probably by a network lawyer who didn’t really quite understand – and has been hard to find since.

That’s what made this 2010 live performance on Late Night so special. It was probably the first time viewers had seen it in years.

It’s so old in fact, we totally forgot it was a thing. Here we were, enjoying this video on a chill Hump Day, wondering when Andy started growing out his hair again, and boom! “From Late Night w Jimmy Fallon – March 8, 2010” the YouTube description reads.

The clip, now almost seven years old, was posted by the Lonely Island earlier this week, and like, what gives, guys? How could you hold out on us like this, Andy?

Over a medley of classic hip hop tunes (we see you, “Christmas in Hollis” and “The New Style”), Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell performed The Lonely Island’s “Lazy Sunday” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Join us as we quickly travel through the stages of grief before arriving at acceptance and enjoy the video below.
