Do You Want to Watch Barack Obama Kitesurf?
Being President is no fun (as Donald Trump is quickly learning). Being the former president, on the other hand? Total blast. You get invited to baseball games, Super Bowls. Kitesurfing with eccentric billionaires. At least, in Barack Obama’s case.
According to Richard Branson, the Virgin magnate wanted to give the former POTUS something he hadn’t had a chance to do these past eight years – you know, other than go a full 24 hours without being hassled by the GOP.
So Branson invited the Obamas to his own private island on the British Virgin Islands for a few days of well-deserved R&R and water sports. [Feel free to insert your own Trump joke here.] And better yet, Branson taped it all for a gloriously cheesy vacation video that looks like something your dad slapped together on iMovie (but presumably had a bigger budget than Transformers 4).
It clearly worked. In case you needed any extra convincing to finally pull the trigger on booking that March vacation, just look at the hundred-watt grin on Barack. We’d forgotten what being that happy even looked like. And it’s downright contagious.
So thanks Obama, for reminding us how to smile again.
