The BeatsX Wireless Earbuds Are the Answer to Your AirPod-Induced Woes

Apple’s AirPods have had a rough go of it, eh? They were widely ridiculed the minute they were announced, suffered a series of long delays, and then were finally released to mostly meh reviews. And now, not two months after they hit stores, Apple is stabbing them in the back by releasing a far superior set of wireless earbuds via the tech giant’s Beats by Dre sub-brand.

The BeatsX earbuds, which drop this Friday, are chock-a-block with killer features — a “Flex-Form” cable that’ll sit comfortably and securely around your neck, preventing them from flying off your head; magnetic buds to keep them from getting lost; and full compatibility with non-Apple hardware like Android smartphones. Best of all perhaps, they come complete with four sizes of eartips, just in case you don’t happen to have perfect “one-size-fits-all” AirPod ears. These guys also have a battery life of up to eight hours, and will give you at least two hours of juice after just a five-minute charge.

As great as all of this sounds, though, the earbuds aren’t totally infallible. Just in case you’re one of those weirdos who brings your very best gear to the gym, keep in mind that BeatsX aren’t sweat-proof, so you might want to swap them out from time to time.
