Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole Cleared Waivers, and They’re Returning to TSN
It’s trade deadline day in the NHL, and TSN just dropped a major stunner: two big-name fan favourites are on their way back to Canada. Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole.
Four years after the network blew it by letting their all-star Sportscentre anchors leave for Fox Sports 1, TSN reacquired the duo, effectively claiming them off waivers after the plug was pulled on their FS1 show last month. The news was first announced by Bob McKenzie on TradeCentre this morning, in what promises to be the biggest sports homecoming since LeBron came back to Cleveland.
OK, not really. But it’s still got us – and the rest of Canada – pretty damn psyched about the prodigal anchors’ return. SC with Jay and Dan won’t hit the air until September, but to tide you over until then, here’s a look back at some of the pair’s signature highlights from their original 10-year run on TSN.
