This Freestyle Ski Race Included a Jump Over an Audi R8
Here’s something you don’t see everyday: on a crisp, cold day in Blue Mountain last weekend, atop a perfectly powdered mountain, a red Audi R8V10 sat encased in a snow globe, waiting for a handful of skiers to jump over it.
Audi has been the global title sponsor of the FIS Ski Cross World Cup since 2011, and the German automaker decided to give this year’s participants a chance at a truly one-of-a-kind jump. Built by Horn Media, the snow globe was an obstacle during the final race. At the end of the event, Canadians Marielle Thompson and Brady Leman stood atop the podiums in the women and men’s events, respectively.
