1. Powerful snow storm pounds Central Canada and Northeast U.S.

“Parts of Ontario, Quebec and the American northeast are being walloped by powerful winter storm Stella, with some regions seeing as much as a foot of snow after a remarkably mild February.

Environment Canada says the storm has already left some areas in Ontario coping with up to 20 centimetres of snow with more on the way.”

2. Former Guantanamo Bay inmate Omar Khadr recovering from 19-hour surgery

“Former Guantanamo Bay inmate Omar Khadr is recovering from a 19-hour operation on a shoulder that was badly injured in Afghanistan 15 years ago.

“‘What they did was take bone from different parts of his legs and muscles from other parts of his body to try to rebuild his right shoulder,’ [his lawyer] said. ‘There’s no prognosis — it’s almost experimental in some ways, and hoping that it works.'”

3. Harassed Online, She Remains Determined to Enlist in the Marines

4. AP’s legendary Napalm Girl photographer Nick Ut to retire

“It would seem all but impossible to sum up one of the most distinguished careers in photojournalism in only four words, but that’s just what Nick Ut does when he says, “From hell to Hollywood.”

The Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer, who is retiring this month after 51 years with The Associated Press, has the pictures to prove it, the most famous being a stunning black-and-white image from the Vietnam War that’s come to be known simply as “Napalm Girl.””

5. Seth Meyers on Donald Trump’s wiretapped microwave and Trumpcare

““One thing that happens when you make as many wild unproven claims as Trump does, is that people have to go to ridiculous lengths to try to defend those claims,” Meyers continued, by way of introducing Conway’s much-mocked interview to the Bergen County Record. When asked if she had proof Obama had wiretapped Trump, she began to talk about microwaves with cameras and other spying gadgets now on the market.”
