Mini-Mayweather vs. Mini-McGregor Will Be Way More Exciting Than the Real Thing

Hundreds of primo seats still remain for the Mayweather-McGregor fight on August 26, and for good reason: it’s gearing up to be The Farce of the Century. If you’re not ready to blow thousands of dollars to see a foul-mouthed Irishman chase a tax-dodging pugilist around the ring for 12 rounds, consider setting your sights lower — like, literally.

Mini-Mayweather vs. Mini-McGregor will be a fight between two little people who bear a passing resemblance to the real Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club, in Las Vegas, is hosting the event the day before the much-hyped contest between the boxer and MMA fighter. They’re billing it as “the biggest little fight of the century.” Ha.

This isn’t Mini-Mayweather’s first rodeo. In 2015, he squared off against Mini-Pacquiao in a fight similarly piggybacking off of the Mayweather-Pacquiao match. Mini-Mayweather won that one, so like his (slightly) larger doppelgänger, he’s undefeated too! The brawl proved infinitely more entertaining than the real deal. There’s a high likelihood they’ll pull off the same feat this month.

Mini-Mayweather vs. Mini-McGregor will be a three round battle for the “very, very lightweight championship of the world.” But the feud between these two is getting pretty heated. We expect it to be a short bout.
