The Mercedes G65 Final Edition Is a Right Proper Farewell to Our Favourite V12 SUV

Mercedes has put together a proper farewell to the beloved flagship G-Class with the Mercedes-AMG G65 Final Edition. Mercedes is gearing towards the unveiling of the new G-Wagon at the Detroit Motor Show in January and with the discontinuation of the AMG G 65 this may be your last change at getting the iconic V12 SUV.

The Final Edition is set apart from the regular G lineup with 21-inch rims in bronze – a colour that’s repeated throughout the design. Bronze is also highlighted in the interior design of the Final Edition with quilted bronze stitching to contrast the black Nappa leather seats and carbon fibre trim. Under the hood is the 6.0L V12 bi-turbo engine producing 630 hp.

Acceleration is quick, as you would expect in a V12. 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with a electronically limited top speed of 230 km/h.

Rumour has it that this may be the last G-Wagon equipped with a V12. But we won’t know forsure until January in Detroit. Get the Final Edition while you can because orders are already being accepted. Only 65 of them will be made. Oh, it’s also around $458,000 so you might not have time to save up that coin.
