1. Mercedes is edging closer and closer to full autonomy

“The updates Mercedes-Benz bestows upon the C-Class for the 2019 model year, while not massive, are significant enough to keep the model looking fresh in its crowded segment.

“Active Driving Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Steering Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Changing Assist are highlights of the package, all of which combine to allow semi-autonomous operation for limited periods under certain situations. This is not a fully autonomous package, but it’s a step in that direction.”

2. Watch awesome documentary on Ralph Lauren’s influence on hip-hop culture in the ’80s

“Polo Ralph Lauren has been the unofficial gear within the hip-hop scene since the late ’80s/early ’90s, where legendary rappers like Raekwon (and the iconic Snow Beach pullover), Grand Puba, and more brought the clothing line to the forefront in their own unique way.

“The documentary features commentary from ‘Lo heads in the music and fashion industry, including Just Blaze, Raekwon, Tyson Beckford, 2 Chainz, Michaela Angela Davis, ASAP Ferg, Young Dro, Fonzworth Bentley, and many more who shine a light on its history, their relationship with the brand (good and bad), and why Polo will never go out of style.”

3. As it turns out, a lot of NBA players are getting really into fine wine

“At the Cav’ morning shootaround before their loss in Sacramento, Wade, sitting along the sideline, about six weeks before being traded back to Miami, is asked who on the Cavs knows the most about wine. Without hesitation, he points at James, who stands across the court. ‘He knows a lot. It’s just something he don’t want to share,’ Wade says. ‘But when we go out, it’s, Bron, what wine we getting? You ask most of the guys on the team who orders the wine, we leave it to him to order.’

“Indeed, among the Cavs, the legend of LeBron’s oenophilia is large.

“As Love says, when it comes to wine, ‘Bron has a supercomputer in his brain.’”

4. This clip from the newest Death Wish reboot with Bruce Willis is just a little weird

“We may not need a Death Wish remake, but we’re getting one anyway. Eli Roth helms the updated revenge-thriller, which stars Bruce Willis as an angry man who takes the law into his own hands. In the first official Death Wish clip, Willis’ character very calmly decides to shove his daughter into a crawlspace.

“Not helping matters is this first Death Wish clip, which is truly weird. In the clip, Willis’ character Dr. Paul Kersey calmly talks his daughter (Camila Morrone) into hiding in a crawlspace.”

5. Star Wars: Episode 9 is hiring the master art director behind the newest Blade Runner

“Paul Inglis, who was most recently the supervising art director for Blade Runner 2049, has joined the crew of the final Skywalker family film.

“Inglis has an impressive list of credits as art director (usually credited as Supervising Art Director or Senior Art Director) including Children of Men, Prometheus, Skyfall, and the entire first season of Game of Thrones. Blade Runner 2049 is perhaps his crowning achievement; it’s one of the best designed movies ever made, especially coupled with Roger Deakens’ Oscar-nominated cinematography.”
