Sharp: The Book For Men Spring/Summer 2018 Vancouver Launch Event

After years of hearing word of the buzzing scene at our Toronto bashes, Vancouver was finally able to experience one firsthand. Our first-ever VanCity launch party for Sharp: The Book For Men Spring/Summer 2018 gathered the city’s top influencers at Rocky Mountaineer Station for an evening of stiff drinks, dapper style, and fast rides. And it turned out to be just what the city had been craving. As the night carried on, we even started testing the limits of our ample supply of alcohol. The good news: we ordered more, and the party remained a bona fide blowout all the way to the end. Vancouver, nice to meet you.

Continuing in the spirit of making a strong entrance, our guests were invited to pull up to the event by taking a pedal-to-the-medal thrill ride in Genesis G70 and G80 sport models. (Those not feeling up to being chauffered by a speed demon could opt for G90 and G80 shuttles instead.) Once inside the venue, auto admirers could get up close and personal with the G80 sport and G70.

Of course, the cars weren’t the only thing looking fly. We said suit up, and our Vancouver crowd did not disappoint. They may have even given our first-ever Book For Men cover star, Don Cheadle, a run for his money in the style department. For VIPs needing that finishing touch, a pop-up barbershop run by Crow’s Nest was on hand to keep everyone’s fades looking neat and tidy, and Prada was nearby dispensing spritzes of its top-shelf Luna Rossa Carbon fragrance. Rugby-inspired tailoring brand Aedelhard introduced the athletic crowd to their new favourite performance blazer while offering everyone a chance to kick back in its billiards lounge.

As the night went on and that signature West Coast sunshine faded, the energy only rose. For that, credit the stars behind the bar: Glenmorangie, Belvedere Vodka, and Hennessy, who served up no shortage of distinguished cocktail options, and Peroni, whose premium beer added to the all-out party atmosphere. Meanwhile, Fiji Water’s much-appreciated reminders about the importance of hydration helped to ensure that we all made it out of bed the next morning.

In any case, it’s safe to say there’s a new best bash in town.
