Tom Dixon turns the Mondrian London hotel into a 1920s nautical experience

British designer Tom Dixon took inspiration from 1920’s cruise liners for the design of the just-opened Mondrian London hotel.

The retro-inspired luxury lodging uses fixtures from the designer’s own company Design Research Studio, with custom-created pieces used to furnish 359 rooms in style. Curved walls, brass fixtures and port-hole-shaped mirrors pair nicely with built-in cabinets that look positively rough-water ready.
