Cue The Colour: A Paris Fashion Week Round-Up

Look in your closet. What do you see? We’re betting there’s more than a little blue in there, probably some grey, white, black. How about burgundy? Is there any of that? Mustard? Chartreuse, perhaps? Probably not.

But, if Paris Fashion Week can serve as any sort of trend forecast (which, of course it can), then your closet should be quite a bit more vivid come this time next year. Might as well start the collection now.

Live and in living colour, here are our favourite looks from Paris Fashion Week.

(1/11)

Agnes B

The suits at Agnes B’s runway presentation were full of colour, but essentially casual in their look, which is a great way to pull off bold hues.

Burberry

The models backstage at the Burberry show display the varying jewel tones that can be mixed and matched with ease.

Burberry

Embracing colour doesn’t mean wearing it head-to-toe. Something as simple as an accessory that pops (like the scarves at Burberry) says enough.

Cifonelli

It may not be your basic blue, but this aqua marine blazer from Cifonelli still pairs effortlessly with white.

Dior Homme

In otherwise subtle outfits, Dior Homme added a fresh burst of orange for a look an optimistically summer look.

Street Style

Hass Murad plays a pair of suited blues with a pair of suited whites, and hammers the look home with a subtle gold finish on his kicks.

Hermes

Cozy knits don’t have to be the same drab colours as bad weather. Brilliant colours at Hermes will have you hoping for chilly mornings.

Louis Vuitton

Silk offers a sheen that’s perfect to show off the most vibrant hues. Exhibit A: LV’s runway show.

Street Style

Dejon Marquis in 50 Shades of Blue.

Paul Smith

Who says orange and red can’t be paired? Certainly not us.

Saint Laurent

Pink is a hard shade to pull off (especially with that attitude!), but all you have to do is think you look as cool as a St Laurent model, and nobody will even question the choice.
