This Video Proves The Revenant Is Way More Like Jackass Than You Realized
It may have finally garnered Leonardo DiCaprio the Oscar he’s long deserved, but let’s face it: The Revenant is not an easy movie to watch. A close-up wound cauterization, a graphic bear mauling, the bloodied digestion of raw liver — not to mention Leo’s relentlessly moaning across the frozen plains.
Thankfully, though, the good people at Screen Junkies have given us a take on the movie we can get behind.
Beyond the typically clever Honest Trailer observations you’ve come to expect (in this case: how many damn shots of the sky there are; how often Tom Hardy talks about pelts), the video hinges on one truly mind-blowing revelation: with just one simple song change, The Revenant is basically an episode of Jackass.
You’ll never be able to watch Leo’s masterpiece the same way again — which, if you ask us, might actually be for the best.
