Tracy Morgan Just Delivered the Only Batman v Superman Review That Matters

Man, seeing Tracy Morgan back at his best never gets old.

After requiring more than a year to fully recover from a brutal six-vehicle crash in 2014, the lovable, loudmouthed 30 Rock star has been on an absolute tear: he received a standing ovation during a surprise appearance at the Emmys, hosted one of the best episodes of Saturday Night Live in recent memory, and killed it on both Fallon and Kimmel.

Now, Morgan’s shown some love to his former SNL running mate (and new dad!) Seth Meyers with this pitch perfect interview on Late Night.

Before reflecting on his run at SNL and explaining why he feels like Aunt Jemima, Morgan gave a typically bombastic and brilliant review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

His thoughts on Superman: “Superman’s father’s name was Dorell,” he declared, before Meyers corrected him. “Jor-El? I thought it was Dorell. You know he must be black with the name Jor-El.”

And, of course, his take on Batfleck: “The first Batman, he was angry because criminals had killed his dad. But Ben Affleck was playing Batman in this one, and he was angry because he messed up with Jennifer Garner.”

We love you, Tracy, but be careful — you don’t want to make Affleck any sadder than he already is.
