Club Monaco and Gitman Bros Just Solved Your Office Shirt Dilemma

Club Monaco has always been a reliable source when you need a slim button up with some personality that looks just as good under a suit jacket as it does un-tucked with jeans. The retailer has upped their already strong shirting game by partnering with American brand Gitman Bros. to produce a limited collection of nine shirts, as well as a navy suit with a 70s vibe thanks to large lapels and flap patch pockets at the hits.

Gitman Bros. has a long history of hand-making quality shirts in the US, starting with the family-owned business in 1932 to present day where nearly everything is still done by hand, like shaping the collar and the double row of stitches down the sides of the shirts. They use the same techniques for this capsule, crafting the button ups from a mix of oxford cloth, seersucker, and blackwatch and daywatch checks.

With the predominantly blue colour palette, coupled with the classic checks and one fun pineapple print (the fashion-world will never get tired of this tropical fruit), the collection fits right in at Club Monaco. You’d be forgiven if at first glance you didn’t know how special they were — but once you put one on and feel the quality fabric and construction, you’ll have a hard time leaving the store without buying the whole lot.
