Oh, So This Is Why People Are So Crazy About College Basketball

Good god, man. Did March Madness ever live up to its name last night.

UNC and Villanova battled it out in what will no doubt be remembered as one of the greatest — if not the greatest — NCAA Championship games ever, ending with a flurry of buzzer-beating, heart-palpitation-causing threes that we still can’t quite wrap our heads around.

Let’s recap all the insanity of the game’s final moments, shall we?

Down 74-71 with less than 10 seconds to go, Carolina’s Marcus Paige did his best Steph Curry impression and tossed up this insane, flailing three to tie it all up.

MJ liked what he saw.

A few seconds later, though, His Airness’s joy was cut short when Villanova’s Kris Jenkins pulled up for what will likely remain — unless, like, he eventually discovers a cure for cancer — the single greatest moment of his adult life.

That dagger sent Nova’s entire student body into an out-of-control frenzy…

…and caused Charles Barkley to appear as though there was a legion of fire ants in his pants.

Even the stadium security guards weren’t immune to the excitement.

The only person who didn’t lose his damn mind? Nova head coach Jay Wright.

That’s how you celebrate like a boss.
