Which Celebrity Is Having the Most Fun at the Olympics?

Despite US Weekly‘s attempts to convince you otherwise, for the most part, celebrities exist on an entirely different plane than us normals. They talk flippantly about yacht parties, supermodel SOs and million-dollar paycheques while the rest of us look on like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

But every two years, celebrities and normals unite in their love for the Olympic Games. We all cheer, tweet, cry and go apeshit over the insane displays of athleticism and are brought together by the fact that even the most muscular of our respective castes wouldn’t know what the hell to do when faced with the vault.

Since none of our own Olympic antics are being lauded on social media and in the news (just one more thing to divide us!) we thought we’d put together a quick ranking of celebrities having fun in Rio.

5. Gisele Bündchen

Brazil’s hottest export strutted out as part of the opening ceremonies, before dancing the night away at the after party. Wouldn’t you if you had a night off from your two kids and Tom Brady? The reason she’s low on this list is because we haven’t seen much from Bündchen since. Maybe she’s having too much fun to document it, but our guess is that she isn’t making it out to many events.

4. Elizabeth Banks

Funny gal Elizabeth Banks has been enjoying the scenery in Rio, grabbing coffee at nearby cafes and even enduring a little bit of rain to enjoy a game. Mix that in with a sweet flag-bearing photo that includes some Matthew McConaughey fangirling, and we’re reminded why we love her so much.

3. Matthew McConaughey

The chillest Oscar winner of all time has caught a couple of rugby matches and some swimming heats in Rio. Showing off his impressive collection of vintage-looking USA tees, the Austin native has been spotted waving his arms, cheering like a maniac and just basically having a grand ol’ time. We’re most impressed that McConaughey and his Brazilian-born wife were able to put their differences aside and celebrate together.

2. USA Basketball Team

While we’re sad that DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry can’t somehow play for Canada at the Games, their excitement and adorable team touristy moments make up for it. A little. Really only because they sang Vanessa Carlton’s ‘A Thousand Miles’ on their way into Rio.

Melo ain’t having it…😂

1. Leslie Jones

Comedian Leslie Jones has been killing it tweeting about Rio…and she only arrived in Brazil earlier today. Jones has been live tweeting, Snapchatting and providing all-around remarkable commentary since the competitions began. So amazing were her updates that NBC decided to fly her in to report live from the Games she loves so much. We’re already waiting with bated breath to hear what she thinks about the upcoming archery, rowing and badminton finals.
