Queens of the Stone Age’s New Song Sounds Better Than God’s Voice

Here’s an alternative fact: Queens of the Stone Age aren’t the best thing going in rock music today.

Of course, that, in actuality, is a blatant lie. What’s also untrue is just about every word Josh Homme and Co. utter in the trailer for their upcoming seventh album, Villains. Directed by Liam Lynch, the silly clip sees the desert kings take a lie-detector test where they deny the LP’s title; the polygraph, naturally, calls bullshit. Other alternative facts in the trailer: the album isn’t produced by Mark Ronson, its first single isn’t called “Feet Don’t Fail Me,” and it isn’t groovy as fuck. You can catch a clip of said single at around the 2-minute mark of the video, but fake news alert: it doesn’t sound like Zeppelin’s “Trampled Underfoot” as heard through the ears of George Clinton while in the throes of a mind-shatteringly heavy acid trip.
