This Hublot Smartwatch Will Stop Refs from Making Horrible Calls at the World Cup

This year at Baselworld, Hublot unveiled its first-ever connected watch. Big news unto itself — but that’s not even the most exciting part. Based on the iconic Big Bang and limited to just 2,018 editions, the new model will serve as the official timepiece of this summer’s World Cup — and includes a whole host of custom features dedicated to soccer’s biggest tournament.

Apart from keeping the official game time, the watch will also help referees make fair calls thanks to its integration with goal-line technology and its ability to receive alerts from a nearby video assistant referee. For those a little farther from the field, the watch will broadcast live match updates, including goals, red cards, and player changes directly to your wrist. In other words, there’s never been a better time to be a soccer fan.
