Drake’s New Album ‘Scorpion’ Is Dropping in June [Insert Fire Emoji Here]

Hate to say we told you so (even though we totally did), but there’s a new Drake album dropping this year. On Monday, The Boy posted an Instagram photo of himself wearing a satin bomber embroidered with the news that Scorpion will come out in June.

He also posted another pic of a scorpion on a chain pendant. We’re going to take a wild guess and say the album title is a nod to his zodiac sign. (Drake was born October 24, 1986.)

Scorpion will likely feature Drake’s recent chart-topping hit “God’s Plan,” and well as his latest single “Nice for What,” which just debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, dethroning the former tune after a career-best 11 weeks.

We’re going to take yet another wild guess and say Scorpion’s opening track will be a scorcher. That’s judging from a furtive little hint Drizzy left in his comment section.

It’s like that Drake?!? 😮 tag who you think the producer is 👇

@Steezthegreat commented on Drake’s IG post saying, “Zip up is hard,” referring to a Patagonia top he was sporting. The 6 God responded: “harder than the album intro or nah?” Aubrey, you sly fox, you.

Will said album intro go as hard as “Tuscan Leather”? Who’s to say. All I know is, we’re about to go headlong into yet another pre-album Drake hype cycle. Just hold on.
