Whether that’s controlling the Meridian 3D Sound System, offering easy access to embedded apps such as Amazon Alexa and Spotify, or a slew of driver assistance offerings, drivers can now perform up to 80 percent of tasks with only one or two taps on the Pivi Pro home screen. Then there are helpful offerings like the 3D Surround Camera, which creates a 360° view of the Velar’s surroundings, making it easier to manoeuvre in and out of tight spots. And all that technology is kept current thanks to the fact that most of the Velar’s total electronic control units are capable of wireless updates.

Tied to the central Pivi Pro display, drivers can also customize the way information is presented on their dedicated 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display. The Head-up Display then projects key vehicle and journey information onto the windscreen within the eye line. It all adds up to an electronic information suite that is unrivalled in its class.

And if you’re looking for a better view of the outside world, one of the innovations that stands out in this newest Velar is its 3D Surround Camera. It offers a 360-degree view of your surroundings, making it easier to manoeuvre in and out of tight spots. The overhead view gives you immediate perspective, while the innovative ClearSight Ground View gives you a virtual view of the road directly in front of your front bumper and tires. You can use it to spot high curbs, navigate tight parking spots, or it can help you carefully trek through extreme terrain.
