The highlight of this year’s Art Basel Miami was the entirely unexpected collaboration between superstar menswear designer Virgil Abloh and modernist Swiss furnituremaker Vitra. The standout piece is the Antony armchair.
Originally developed by Jean Prouvé in 1950, the Antony gets a striking Abloh update, with a Plexiglas shell and bright orange lacquer frame.
And because it’s Virgil Abloh, king of the streetwear drop, the chair is limited to an edition of 100 pieces.
