Sharp: The Book For Men & S/Volume Fall/Winter 2017 Launch Event

If you build it, they will come. Such was the case Wednesday night, when we turned Toronto’s stunning Queen Richmond Centre West into a grand event space — and over 600 of the city’s most stylish celebrities, influencers, movers and shakers showed up dressed to the nines. The occasion? The launch of Sharp: The Book For Men Fall/Winter 2017, and our sister magazine’s inaugural issue of S/Volume.

Nothing — not even the start of the hockey season — could stop Toronto’s social scene from packing the venue to the gills. And who can blame them? The place was kept buzzing thanks to potations by Hennessy, Belvedere Vodka, Glenmorangie, Moët & Chandon, and Heineken. Appetites were satiated with delectable hors d’oeuvres by Ricarda’s.

Guests were given a chance to pine over (and win) Volvo’s sexy new XC60 crossover SUV, both in black (on the Sharp side) and white (on the S/ side), each displayed under the venue’s soaring x-shaped delta frames.

Because primping ain’t easy, American Crew was on hand to offer touch ups guests’ ‘dos. Meanwhile, Prada provided spritzes of their Luna Rossa Carbon and L’Homme fragrances for the gents, and La Femme for the ladies.

As a wise man did once say, turn down for what? The evening turned out to be a roaring good time. After all these years, were you really expecting any less?
