Watch a Navy Ship Pass a 10,000-Pound Underwater Explosive Test Like It’s NBD

We’re guessing the US Navy had no intention of making a crazy dope video when they decided to test their latest battleship against underwater shockwaves, but man oh man, did they ever nail it anyway.

Back in June, the Navy conducted Full Ship Shock Trials (FSST) off the coast of Florida, in order to validate “the operational survivability of new construction ships after exposure to underwater shock.” In other words, they set off an 10,000-pound explosive charge in the middle of the ocean really damn close to the USS Jackson, and then sat back and watched what happened.

The Jackson seemed to handle itself a lot better than we would’ve had we been onboard. Take a look below.
