Here’s Your First Look at The Weeknd’s Stylish New Collection for H&M

Remember when House of Balloons dropped back in 2011? Everyone loved its brooding, prescription-drug-inflected vibes, sure, but a lot of the buzz centred on figuring out who or what The Weeknd was, exactly. Was it one dude? A band? What did he/they look like? Why was/were he/they being so damn mysterious? Were music critics going to be forced to use dozens upon dozens of slashes just to review Weeknd albums forever?

That all seems mighty quaint in 2017. These days, Abel Tesfaye’s handsome mug is plastered all over the tabloids and billboards alike, and the Toronto-bred crooner has established himself as a genuine style icon among the cozy-boy-hypebeast set. And pretty soon, thanks to a new collaboration with H&M, it’ll be easier than ever before to bring a little bit of The Weeknd’s laid-back cool to your closet.

Hitting stores on March 2nd, the new “Spring Icons Selected by The Weeknd” collection is a complete range of off-duty essentials: slouchy tees and hoodies, crisp bomber jackets and trench coats, perfectly proportioned trousers and jeans.

“What I like about this collection is that it’s all about pieces that I want to wear,” The Weeknd said about the project. “The way that I dress is like a uniform, and it’s pretty much who I am… I’d never put my name to anything that didn’t feel real.”

All in all, it’s exactly the kind of stuff you’ll want to be rocking the next time you cruise through the west end in your new Benz, tryna live life through a new lens.
