Training for an IRONMAN? We’ve got your watch — the new Limited-Edition Breitling Endurance Pro is built for extreme athletes.
As summer winds down, elite athletes around the globe are gearing up to test their mettle in the IRONMAN World Championships, the final events of the 2023 IRONMAN season. Consisting of a 3.9 km swim and a 180 km bicycle ride followed by a marathon (42.2 km) run, this 226.3 km race is considered the toughest single-day sporting event on earth.
Athletes competing in the IRONMAN World Championship events of the season in Lahti, Finland, Nice, France, and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii have a new race day accessory. In addition to spandex, goggles, and electrolyte packs, athletes can sport the Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship and the Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN World Championship.
As a relatively new edition to the Breitling lineup, the Endurance Pro isn’t as well known as iconic Breitling models like the Navitimer and Chronomat. As Breitling’s entry-level collection, it’s one of the few quartz models in the brand’s lineup, and a piece with a decidedly modern look. Distinct from the vintage-inspired pieces in the Breitling collection, it has a unique appeal for those who think nothing of riding 100km before breakfast. Created as a lightweight watch for athletes that doubles a casual-yet-stylish chronograph, the Endurance Pro offers Swiss precision and quality in a colourful and durable package.
Its case is made of Breitlight, a robust and ultra-light composite material that’s 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than stainless steel. Hypoallergenic and scratch-resistant, it’s the perfect accessory for swimmers, runners, or anyone else who pushes themself (and their watch) to the limit. Powered by Breitling’s Caliber 82, a COSC-certified SuperQuartz movement, it’s available in a range of colourful cases and water-resistant to 100m.
The Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship and the Breitling Endurance Pro IRONMAN World Championship, which are limited to 250 pieces each, pay tribute to Breitling’s ongoing partnership with IRONMAN. Dials and colours are dedicated to this year’s upcoming championship events.
The Endurance Pro IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship honours one of the most popular events in the IRONMAN calendar in Lahti, Finland on August 26-27, finishing under the midnight sun of Nordic summer. It features the event’s turquoise logo at six o’clock and matching turquoise elements on the bezel, pushers, and crown, as well as the Endurance Pro’s hallmark compass bezel.
The special-edition blue Endurance Pro IRONMAN World Championship, meanwhile, is the first-ever Endurance Pro model to be made from high-performance titanium. Dedicated to the men’s competition in Nice, France, on September 10 and the women’s in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, on October 14, this watch is outfitted in a deep blue strap with matching pops of colour around the dial and the event logo at six o’clock.
Whether you’re going up against the world’s best IRONMAN competitors this season at Lahti, Nice, or Kailua-Kona, or simply need a watch that’s tough enough to keep up with your most intense workouts, Breitling’s Endurance Pro IRONMAN World Championship editions are worthy of a podium spot on your wrist.
