After he shot onto the A-list with Love Story, Paul Anthony Kelly made his Met Gala debut in head-to-toe Dior. The model and creative wore a deep burgundy velvet tuxedo jacket with black satin lapels, paired with tailored black trousers and a classic bow tie, all by Dior.

But look closer, and you’ll see that skincare does the real talking.

Groomer Jessica Ortiz, working exclusively with Dior Beauty, approached Kelly’s Met Gala look as the best grooming artists always do: quietly, deliberately, and entirely in service of the person wearing it. The prep started before a single drop of complexion product; real skincare comes first. Layering the Dior Capture Le Sérum, Capture Day Creme, Capture Eye Creme, and Capture Pro-Collagen Shot, Ortiz built a base that elevated Kelly’s natural, bare-faced skin.

From there, Ortiz used the Dior Forever Skin Glow in 3N and Forever Skin Correct in 2.5N for seamless coverage, with the Forever Skin Bronze in Soft Fair adding warmth and dimension. The Forever Nude Matte Filter in 03 Medium kept everything looking natural and polished without going flat.

Brows were defined with the Diorshow Brow Styler and On Set Brow in Dark Brown — structured enough to frame the face, understated enough to feel effortless. A touch of Rouge Dior Lip Balm in Diornatural finished the look. It was barely there and just right.
