The 2026 Formula 1 grid has introduced new technical regulations, new driver lineups, and more excitement than any season in recent history. It’s also proving to be an exceptionally rich year for motorsports-themed timepieces. The latest entrant to the field, which is set to debut on the wrists of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad at this month’s Montreal Grand Prix, is the Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26.”

The latest product in the partnership between Tudor and the Racing Bulls team is an accessory worthy of the highest levels of motorsport. Its namesake features are a 42mm case, fixed bezel, and bracelet end-links made from carbon fibre, a material prized by race car engineers and watch designers alike for its impressive weight-to-strength ratio. The dial is likewise inspired by the world of high-speed performance, with yellow accents borrowed from the VCARB 03 engine cowling, the 2026 Visa Cash App Racing Bulls’ new Formula One car. A sequel to last year’s Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25”, which was inspired by the livery of the 2025 Visa Cash App Racing Bulls car, VCARB 02, the new limited edition of just 2026 pieces, includes carbon fibre chronograph sub-counters, as well as a titanium case back finished in black PVD and engraved with each piece’s individual number.
Just as the exterior pays homage to the fast-paced precision of Formula 1 racing, the movement inside reflects a similar obsession with performance among Tudor’s engineers. Powering the watch is the Manufacture Chronograph Calibre MT5813, a Master Chronometer movement that exceeds standard COSC certification with a daily rate variation of -2/+4 seconds. It also offers a 70-hour power reserve, a silicon balance spring that’s resistant to magnetic interference, and a go-anywhere, do-anything-worthy 200m of water-resistance.

Tudor’s connection to motorsport goes back far beyond its partnership with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls to the late 1960s, when the brand campaigned a Porsche 906 in Japan, and equipped its drivers with Tudor watches. In 1970, Tudor cemented its place in the world of motorsport with its first chronograph, the Oysterdate, whose 45-minute counter and 6 o’clock date layout remain signature features of today’s Black Bay Chrono. Likewise, the Black Bay Chrono’s “Snowflake” hands have been a Tudor signature since 1969, and continue to provide excellent legibility thanks to a coating of Grade A Swiss SuperLumiNova.
The Racing Bulls have already made a promising showing for 2026, heading into Montreal in 7th place, with Lawson and Lindblad holding 10th and 12th-place driver rankings, respectively. In a season that’s already had more than its share of surprises, there’s no telling where they might go from here. The new Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26,” however, is headed directly onto the wrists of 2,026 of the world’s most dedicated motorsports fans.
