A Night Out with Ralph’s Club

SHARP x RALPH’S CLUB NEW YORK

When the sun goes down, Canada’s most vibrant cities light up. Where Ralph’s Club New York celebrates the nightlife, boldness, and uniqueness of New York City, we’re taking a page out of the same playbook and embracing elements of that same ethos that make our own nation’s bustling centres stand apart from the rest. From fine dining to exquisite cocktail craft, to exciting cultural moments, the country’s east and west coasts deliver distinct and memorable experiences to suit all tastes. With bold and creative leadership, our leading hotspots have a strong sense of individuality, bolstered by top-tier service. Whether you’re heading to Montreal, Vancouver, or Toronto, SHARP’s editors have an ideal recommendation for a night out on the town.

Montreal

Eat: Cabaret L’Enfer

The doors of Cabaret L’Enfer opened a short few years ago, however this spectacular fine dining establishment promptly climbed the ranks of Montreal’s dining scene. Headed up by chef-owner Massimo Piedimonte, whose background includes time at Copenhagen’s famed Noma, as well as work under the tutelage of the legendary Daniel Boulud, the restaurant’s nightly eight-course tasting menus can be upgraded with luxurious extras, like caviar, truffle, scallops, and more.

Drink: The Coldroom

Montreal’s rich cocktail scene has no shortage of heroes, but The Coldroom will always go down as an easy favourite. Its name only hints as this properly hidden speakeasy’s background — enter through a hidden door, and follow the doorman down the stairs and down a dark hallway into a transformed 19th century cold storage warehouse. Its vibe is casual, its menu inventive, and its soundtrack is always bumping.

Toronto

Eat: Enigma Yorkville

Freshly renovated in the spring of 2025, Enigma earned its first star in the inaugural edition of Toronto’s Michelin guide, and has held rank ever since. The Yorkville staple’s menu is consistently creative, or in the words of Chef Quinto Bennett, “unexpected and surreal.” That said, his vision isn’t just about holding a spot in the Michelin guide. “We don’t cook for Michelin. We simply uphold the exceptionally high standards we’ve had from the start.”

Drink: No Vacancy

Less than a year into Toronto’s bustling cocktail scene, No Vacancy has become a top pick of local cocktail connoisseurs. Led by long-time leading mixologist Troy Gilchrist, whose refined palette and creative mind previously forged the reputations of Overpressure Club, Boehmer, Lucid, and Harbour 60. The entire cocktail lineup is worth consideration, but the clarified tequila-based Killer Tomato is an absolute must-try.

Vancouver

Eat: Kissa Tanto

While Vancouver’s dining scene is quite diverse, we’d be remiss to not acknowledge Kissa Tanto’s spectacular fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisines (and their spellbinding omakase menu). Chef Joël Watanabe has been in the fine dining realm for years, and is the first to admit that even his own practices have evolved substantially in recent years. Reflecting on sustainability, he’s embraced the ethos. “Back then, the mindset was: make it perfect, and toss the rest,” he said. “Now, across the industry, there’s more thoughtful use of ingredients. I think you’re seeing much less waste. We really think about what’s not going in the bin, and how we’re going to process it.”

Drink: The Keefer Bar

The Keefer has seen significant evolution over the decades, evolving from a polished “see and be seen” spot with an average cocktail program, to the city’s leading hub of modern mixology. The dark and moody room remains intact, whereas the absolutely polished and precise cocktail list represents some of the best work the Canadian bar scene has to offer. Lively DJs keep the crowd energized, while tasty Asian-inspired bites keep appetites sated between libations.
