Try to Watch This Video of a Guy Backflipping Over a Race Car Without Flinching

Ever wonder what it’d be like to watch a dude attempt to flip over a speeding Formula E race car?

Us neither — we don’t care much for snuff films. But stuntman Damien Walters just did exactly that (and lived to tell the tale!) on a track in Mexico City.

Oh, yeah: and he did it backwards.

After enlisting driver Alistair Whitton to do the honours of barreling toward him at top speed, Walters began practicing for the pulse-raising feat. With his back to the car, the freerunner, gymnast and Hollywood stuntman set up a clock in front of him to count down the seconds until Whitton’s car was exactly where it needed to be for Walters to sail over it effortlessly.

Effortlessly for him, that is — it required a whole lot of effort on our part to refrain from covering our eyes in fear as he made the leap.

And in case watching that side angle above wasn’t sweat-inducing enough for you, these madmen also filmed the entire stunt using 360-degree cameras.

Check that out below, and absolutely do not try any of this at home.
