Brazilian architectural studio Pascali Semerdjian is no stranger to us — we shared their Toy House earlier this year — and now they’re back with another remarkable project: the AA House.

The home features a striking motif of vertical lines — they’re present in several contexts on the exterior, and continue into the interior through various elements.

What makes the design truly special is the next-level combinations of textures, colours, shapes, and materials.

The designers weren’t afraid to combine bold colours with geometric shapes in a manner that’s both visually arresting and complementary.

Much of the furniture and fixtures were custom designed by the studio. The washroom sink, in particular, is a strong geometric component balanced out by more neutral and subdued tones.

All in all, it’s an impeccable execution of modern design.
