Chelsea Handler Interviewed an Ann Coulter ‘Body Double,’ and It Was Incredible

To the surprise of exactly no one, right-wing pundit Ann Coulter called in sick to her appearance on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix talk show Chelsea.

The last-minute cancellation was possibly the result of Coulter realizing she’d have to square off against the acerbic host, who would’ve undoubtedly called her on all the racist, misogynist, homophobic word-vomit she’s ever spewed. Which is a lot.

To fill in, Handler brought out a Coulter “body double” — AKA comedian Fortune Feimster in a long blonde wig. Feistier answered questions using real-life quotes from In Trump We Trust, Coulter’s newest book, which Handler called “a piece of shit.” The two even managed to make light of a few of Coulter’s actual, highly disturbing beliefs: that women shouldn’t have the right to vote and that climate change is “gay.” It’s hard to imagine that an interview with the real Coulter would’ve been anywhere near as entertaining as this.

We just feel bad for Handler, who woke up at 5 a.m. to read and annotate that bound collection of word-strewn used toilet paper sorry excuse for a book.
