Celebrate Roger Federer’s 20 Grand Slam Titles with This Limited-Edition $20,000 Wilson Racket

Real-life vampire Roger Federer won the Australian Open over the weekend, becoming the first man to snag 20 Grand Slam titles. To honour the undisputed tennis GOAT, Wilson has put together this Collector’s Edition Platinum Racket Package, so you, too, can feel like the greatest athlete of this generation (even if you haven’t quite shed that winter weight yet).

The premium display box will include a Pro Staff RF97 Autograph Racket painted in a metallic, glittering platinum (you know, because platinum is the traditional 20th milestone colour and all). Each racket will also feature symbols representing every one of Federer’s 20 Grand Slam titles adorning the inside the hoop, subtle nods to the number “20” incorporated throughout the design motif, and an illustrated version of Federer’s signature featured prominently on the throat.

Also included in the package: a Federer-signed Australian Open Wilson tennis ball, a premium display box for the racket and ball, mini-posters celebrating the 20 Grand Slam titles, a USB stick with photos of Federer and the racket, and a certificate of authenticity.

Only 20 (see what they did there?) of these packages will be available for purchase, individually numbered “1” to “20.” And they’ll each cost about the equivalent of a Volkswagen Golf — $20,000 USD — but, hey, it’s for a good cause; the proceeds will be split between the Roger Federer Foundation and Wilson-designated charities. So, no, Roger won’t be pocketing the cash himself. He obviously doesn’t need the money — wombat meat can’t be that expensive:
