Movember Stories: Auston Matthews Will Shave His Mo – for $134,000

MOVEMBER & SHARP

Hockey and moustachioed icon Auston Matthews recently announced he will be parting with his beloved moustache – for a price. With one of the most talked about moustaches in the NHL, the former Sharp cover star has committed to shaving off his trademark Mo in the name of men’s health, working with Movember in a bid to raise $134,000 by the end of November.

“I’m willing to shave it off, but only for a good cause,” Matthews declares in the video. “Your donation will help Movember improve the lives of men. The fate of this incredible moustache is now in your very capable hands. Don’t let me down.”

To formally launch the campaign, Matthews stars in a ‘mean tweets’-style video, where he finds out what the world really thinks of his moustache – reading, reacting and responding to some of the internet’s funniest comments about his notorious Mo before committing to shaving it off to raise much-needed funds and awareness to tackle mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, testicular cancer.
