Maluma Models Porsche X BOSS Fall/Winter 2023 Team-Up

Seeing Columbian singer Maluma lean against a vintage Porsche, you can almost feel the wind flowing over the sports car’s sleek top, hitting the dark folds and sharp hems of his Porsche X BOSS jacket. The collection reads like the wardrobe of a guy who’s surely refined, but never lost his eye for cool — as if the stereotypical Newport-smoking, engine-revving daredevil stepped out of an ’80s silver screen and into the real world, undergoing a metamorphosis from class clown to class act.

The Porsche X BOSS Fall/Winter 2023 collection boasts what the brand calls “a forward-looking selection of sleek pieces,” featuring shiny, jet-black pieces and pared-down, rocky brown shades, both overtones occasionally punctuated by a dash of neon. Designers say the sharp sportswear and elevated casual looks were “fueled by drive and determination.” But that’s enough gawking — let’s flip through the racks.

Starting from the top, the collection includes a range of jackets, polos, and sweaters. These pieces embody the quiet confidence of the collection; the Porsche X BOSS leather jacket bears earthy colours that sizzle at the centre stage, standing out with slick tailored silhouettes. Below on the right, the Porsche X BOSS logo beams in gold-tinged browns against the sweater’s black knit. Stitched in the centre, a vintage Porsche design refreshes both brand logos, incorporating heritage and nostalgia while remaining firmly future-focused with modern composition.

This isn’t the first time BOSS found inspiration at the race track — the collection marks a continued relationship between the German fashion label and the high-voltage, fast-tracked world of luxury autos. Earlier this summer, BOSS designed high-performance gear for the AMF1 team at the Canadian Grand Prix. Like the team’s race-ready fits, Porsche X BOSS doubles down on sleek trims, modern branding, and tailored details to celebrate “the sheer pleasure of driving.”

Athleisure staples, including slim-fit cotton tees and waterproof outerwear, mix with polo shirts and lace-up leather trainers. Synthesizing casual clothing with the clean look of premium sportswear, Porsche X BOSS Fall/Winter 2023 crafts a timeless aesthetic. Daring hems transform earthy palettes and leather jackets are cut like a knife, with dark hues to reign in their edgy silhouettes.

Of course, consumers needn’t be behind the wheel of a Speedster to feel Porsche’s top-down ecstasy — stylishly lined puffer jackets, embossed logo caps, and sleek, structured shoes bottle racetrack adrenaline. Fluorescent yellow polos flash against subdued gilets; embellished with iconic prints, puffer jackets share the sentiment right down to their lining. The collection walks a fine line between edgy and understated, rooted in the enduring appeal of fast cars and roaring engines.

Medellín native Maluma was announced as the star of BOSS’ global campaign in January of this year. Since then, he’s proven to be a solid fit for the camera’s other side — along with a stylish sensibility, the singer boasts a Porsche collection of his own. Trey Laird led the Fall/Winter campaign’s creative vision along with his agency, Team Laird, while photographer Matthew Brooks captured the magic. As cool breezes tease autumn’s arrival, the collaboration couldn’t have come at a better time: it hit the shelves (and the sites) on August 2.
