The mission was simple: Get more people behind the wheel of Audi‘s new high-performance electric e-tron GT. SHARP‘s VIPs know their way around fast and luxuriously appointed autos, but many had yet to experience Audi’s latest hero, and it just so happened that the brand had an e-tron GT kicking around the Greater Toronto Area. Into our lists we went, securing seats for 36 drivers in the S and RS variants of the e-tron GT, with each driver getting a full 24 hours to experience the car through their regular daily routine. To avoid any inconvenience, Audi’s concierge service arranged for pick-up and drop-off of vehicles at each driver’s home (of course).

Perhaps the most impressive part of this project was the resounding consistency in the feedback from those who managed to find time behind the wheel. Whether on camera or via a brief post-drive survey nearly every reply spoke to the power, performance, and overall refinement of these groundbreaking EVs. Notes on interior design followed as a close second, accompanied by numerous comments about the cutting-edge tech found inside the car’s interior and running gear.

Earlier in 2024, our editorial travelled across the globe to Oman to drive camouflaged prototypes of the e-tron GT, and our first impressions were along those same lines. The S e-tron GT has 670 horsepower on tap, and some trick new suspension to keep all four corners firmly planted without feeling abusive when rattling across less-than-perfect pavement. Move up to the RS e-tron GT and you’re talking 912 horsepower, and a launch from 0-100 kilometres per hour in two and a half seconds. Audi isn’t messing around with this epic new EV, and as SHARP‘s VIPs can attest, you’re going to want to get behind the wheel and feel it for yourself.
