For most people, buying a Rolex is not a casual thing. No matter if it’s your first Rolex or your tenth, pulling the trigger on the purchase of a new Datejust or Submariner is a special occasion deserving of all the pomp and ceremony you care to indulge in. Raffi Jewellers’ new Rolex boutique at Royalmount in Montreal might be the best place in Canada to do this. Whether you’re browsing the sparkling display cases on a whim or have been summoned by a much-anticipated phone call about a steel Daytona or GMT-Master, every aspect of the space is fine-tuned to immerse you in the luxury and lore of the world’s foremost watch brand.

Occupying 507 square metres within Montreal’s premier luxury shopping destination, the new boutique became the biggest Rolex store in Canada when it opened its doors in November. As such, it sets the standard for what the Rolex experience should be, from its architectural details to the watches on display — including the new Land-Dweller.

Created in collaboration with architects from Rolex, the space subtly evokes the signature elements of Rolex design, from a travertine-clad façade inspired by the links of Rolex bracelets to display pedestals that mimic the brand’s iconic fluted bezels. Elsewhere, a sculptural chandelier inspired by the sunray finish of Rolex dials hangs above a presentation table, and table lamps inspired by the brand’s Cyclops lens emit a soft glow.

“We are honoured to further strengthen the brand’s presence in Montreal with the opening of the largest Rolex boutique in Canada at Royalmount,” said Kevork Garabetian, CEO of Raffi Jewellers, in a statement to mark the boutique’s opening. “This extraordinary boutique embodies the spirit of excellence and provides a setting worthy of the timeless quality of Rolex watches.”

The new Rolex models in the boutique’s showcases and display areas do a lot to create such a setting, but there’s more to the boutique than just watches. An exclusive exhibition devoted to the Cosmograph Daytona encourages guests to linger and pays homage to one of the brand’s most historic pieces. On display until June 2026, the exhibition explores the fabled history of this iconic chronograph, from its origins at Florida’s Daytona Beach Speedway to the wide range of models in the current collection. The exhibition highlights key elements of the Daytona’s design and important innovations in its movements, features, and materials, establishing how the Daytona came to represent Rolex’s signature balance between cutting-edge technology, performance, and aesthetic refinement.

Naturally, there’s also a large portrait of the Daytona’s most famous fan, Paul Newman, wearing his storied chronograph. Given its history, its connections to celebrities and sports, and its reputation for superlative quality, there are plenty of good reasons to join the club of Rolex owners. Thanks to Raffi Jewellers’ new Rolex boutique at Royalmount, however, there’s now one more.
