For nearly 25 years, Torontonians have dressed up and showed out for SickKids. On Thursday, June 4th, the organization — recently crowned the number one children’s hospital in the world — will honour its hometown with Scrubs in Our City: a fundraiser presented by Holt Renfrew in collaboration with Mantella Corporation at Evergreen Brick Works. A Toronto-themed take on SickKids’ annual Scrubs in the City event, the monumental occasion promises a party with a purpose.
Built on the pillars of fashion, philanthropy, and community, Scrubs’ quarter-century soiree is set to celebrate Toronto itself. For evidence, look no further than the culinary program; armed with offerings from Prime Seafood Palace, Melani, SIMPL THINGS, and Toben Food by Design, local flavours are diverse and delectable.

This type of authenticity comes courtesy of a dedicated team. Community members compose volunteer committees and serve as co-chairs. In almost 25 years, their impact has gone far beyond a single event; funds from Scrubs have supported SickKids in diabetes research, neurosurgery, and advanced diagnostic technologies — enabled faster diagnosis and smarter treatments.
Meanwhile, Scrubs’ corporate partners are just as eager to support, electrifying the evening with generous donations for the auction and on-site draws. A massive, 150-item auction offers an array of prizes, including concert and sporting tickets, culinary experiences, beauty, fashion, and — last but far from least — a Parisian getaway valued at over $30,000. Elsewhere, attendees can try their luck at the on-site draw, choosing from prizes like fine jewellery or a new car.

Yet there’s a key undercurrent running just beneath the glitz and glamour: one with real, tangible impact. In 2026, funds raised at Scrubs in Our City will support a photon-counting CT scanner for SickKids — an advanced tool in diagnostic imaging. For those the unfamiliar, this means higher-quality images, more precise diagnosis, and less radiation exposure for children. So, while Scrubs in Our City is (rightfully) touted as Toronto’s best party, it also centres an important purpose for the city: to take care of children’s health.
