Swiss luxury watchmaker H. Moser & Cie is a relative newcomer on the Formula 1 grid, but it has wasted no time putting its stamp on the sport. Not long after signing on as the Global Timekeeping Partner of Alpine Motorsport, the brand revealed its first F1-themed timepieces, the Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition and Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition. A two-piece set consisting of a mechanical tourbillon and digital smartwatch, their combination of traditional Swiss haute horlogerie and smart functionality — the Mechanics Edition delivers live race alerts to the team’s pit crew — makes them easily two of the most interesting F1 pieces in recent years. This month, despite a challenging season for Alpine, they’re back with another duo of limited-edition pieces to up the ante yet again.

As with the previous edition, the new Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly isn’t one watch, but two. The pair re-imagines the brand’s covetable Streamliner Tourbillon in 5N red gold with a chocolate fumé dial conceived (and named) by Gasly. Unlike the previous edition, these are sold separately, albeit in extremely limited numbers. The “Sport-chic edition” features a chocolate-hued rubber strap and is limited to 100 pieces, each priced at $98,500 USD. The Collector’s edition, which is limited to just 10 pieces (an homage to Gasly’s racing number) and priced at $148,500 USD, adds the sophistication of a red gold bracelet and a ruby index at 10 o’clock. In addition to ownership of a collectible piece of fine Swiss watchmaking, the 10 future owners of the full gold version will receive a replica of Gasly’s helmet and will be entitled to participate in an activity with the Alpine driver sometime in 2026.

Unlike many sports collaborations, Gasly took the driver’s seat in designing his namesake Streamliner, working in collaboration with the Maison’s watchmakers on every detail, including the addition of a visible tourbillon at six o’clock. “I have always been fascinated by this mechanism,” Gasly says. “There’s something almost hypnotic about its constant balletic motion. Its precision and technical excellence also draw parallels with the world of F1.”

According to Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie., Gasly was an enthusiastic collaborator with a natural instinct for design. “From the moment we first met, Pierre had a very clear idea of what he wanted,” he says. “We offered him dozens of alternatives to challenge him, to push him off the beaten track. But each time, true to his instincts, he returned to this piece. His own, as we now present it.”

With no wins, no podiums, and no pole positions so far in the 2025 season, Alpine could be in better shape going into the final races of the season. Despite this, with a Mercedes engine replacing its current Renault powerplant next year, the 2026 season promises to look very different for the team. In the meantime, even if Gasly doesn’t have the best car on the grid, he definitely has one of the nicest watches.
